What If There Was One Question That Could Give You Some Clarity in Today’s World?
This world is a crazy place.
It used to be that you knew who to trust and it was easy to spot when something was false.
On top of that, we have our own internal worlds that we have to deal with. Stories that run around in our heads of which some are true and some aren’t.
How do you make sense of all this and wade through the clutter?
“The quality of your life is a direct reflection of the quality of the questions you are asking yourself.” – Tony Robbins
What if there was one question that could help you get some clarity? Well, there is. Are you ready for it?
What makes you think that is true?
This one question can help cut to the chase and filter out a lot of nonsense in our world. Here are a couple of areas where it can help to ask this question.
Online Posts
There is so much misinformation that is posted online these days and it amazes me how many people take whatever they read online as the truth.
Before believing something you read online, ask yourself the question – “What makes me think this is true?” Is it just because you want it to be true or is there any real evidence to support it?
Your Thoughts
I can’t count the number of times that I’ve made up stories in my mind about how someone doesn’t like me or that someone is mad at me or that I know someone’s motives.
Asking myself the question – “What makes me think this is true?” stops me in my tracks and gets me to realize that my imagination is much more vivid than real life and what I’m thinking has no bearing toward truth.
The Truth Will Set You Free
Life is so much better when it is lived in truth. Try asking yourself this question to see how it provides clarity.
